Our Story
The Crumby Rise was born out of a simple goal: to nourish my family with real, homemade food and rely less on long, grocery-filled trips to Duluth. For years, I’ve cooked from scratch—kneading dough by hand, canning garden produce, and learning how to make the most out of every ingredient I could grow, pick, or bake myself.
With limited freezer space and a growing awareness of just how many preservatives are in store-bought foods, I decided it was time to take things back to basics. No shortcuts. No chemicals I can’t pronounce. Just honest food—like fresh sourdough, yeasty soft buns, chewy bagels, and treats made with intention.
The Crumby Rise is my way of rising (pun intended!) to the challenge of eating well, living simply, and sharing the goodness with others who crave real food made the old-fashioned way.
